The dearth of farm veterinarians in Virginia is lessened via a phone app

Roanoke, Virginia – The lack of veterinarians for large animals and farm animals may be alleviated by a new app.

VETSon is the name of it.

Farm veterinarians can offer telemedicine treatments using the app. In the time it would take to visit a single farm, they could be able to observe several animals.

The service is provided to clients in Southwest Virginia by Dr. Hanna Varnell of Ironsides Animal Health.

“It is simpler for me to fulfill my responsibilities to the clients, and it is also simpler for the clients to receive a response from me,” Varnell stated.

According to Colin Yates, co-owner of VETSon, “Farms that are unable to access a large animal veterinarian can connect to Dr. Varnell’s practice 100% remotely.”

“They can have a relationship with a veterinarian wherever they are in Virginia, which they were previously unable to do.”
