Blacksburg, Virginia – Residents of Blacksburg claim that they woke up to a disaster in their streets and yards after hearing transformers blowing and trees falling all night.

According to officials, felled trees and electrical lines are not only in one location; they are almost everywhere.

All day long, people have been out and about, checking on their neighbors and taking in the sight of all the fallen trees.

They claim that as the snow and ice continue to melt, their only thought is, “When will the power be restored?”

“Well, all of our electricity went out last night at midnight when we heard it. Our tiny condo is currently quite dark because we are unable to cook, clean, or use lights around the house. Logan Hudgins, a resident of Blacksburg, stated, “Aside from having to use flashlights last night, we’re just waiting for the power to be restored.”
