The 36th Annual Stocked Market, a Christmas retail fundraiser, is back at Berglund Center
Roanoke, Virginia – The Junior League of Roanoke Valley hosts an annual fundraising event called The Stocked Market to help those in need of assistance getting ready for the holidays.
The JLRV celebrates another Christmas start, marking 36 years of shopping and charity. The VIP Preview Coffee kicked off the three-day event on Friday.
General admission will begin on Friday, November 8–10. Visitors can shop from hundreds of vendors who travel from all around the nation. A wide range of exclusive gourmet foods, trendy clothing, accessories, artwork, antiques, home and garden décor, pet supplies, and more are available. Every year, over the three days of the festival, JLRV receives about 10,000 customers.
The Roanoke Valley’s longest-running holiday shopping event is run by local volunteers.
Every dollar collected supports the JLRV’s work and stays in the community. Over the past 35 years, more than $4.2 million has been raised.
“There are many advantages to shopping with us and purchasing a ticket since the money raised from the holiday market is reinvested in the community through various grants and other events we do all year long. In addition to getting really unusual presents and finishing off your holiday shopping, you can also help your community, said Co-Chair of the JLRV, Connie Benesh-Blaskis.
The Stocked Market is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, November 8.
On Saturday, November 9, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Sunday, November 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., HomeGrown Market will be back. Artists who produce handcrafted goods, including crafts, fine arts, and baked goods, are welcome to participate in this market.
Tickets are $12 and can be bought online or at the door on the day of the event.
