Suspect who wounded a man in a shooting incident is being sought by police
Vinton, Virginia – The suspect who wounded a man in a shooting incident on Tuesday afternoon is being sought by the Vinton Police Department.
At 1:54 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28, officers responded to a malicious wounding report in the 200 block of 8th Street in Vinton, according to the department.
Officers discovered a man with an apparent gunshot wound upon arrival. The victim was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. His injuries were found to be non-life threatening.
According to police officers, no one has been arrested yet as the suspect vehicle fled the area before the arrival of the officers.
