Roanoke police investigating altercation that left one woman hospitalized
Roanoke, Virginia – The Roanoke Police Department is looking into an altercation that resulted in a woman being stabbed.
A shooting occurred in the 500 block of 8th Street Northwest on Thursday, Jan. 20 at about 3:10 p.m. According to police, their early investigation found that there had been a disagreement in another area, and that the individuals involved then moved the argument to a store off 8th Street NW, where it became a physical confrontation.
As a result of the stabbing, a woman received non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was brought to Carilion Memorial Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
