Police investigating after a man fatally shot in Northwest Roanoke

Roanoke, Virginia – Roanoke police are investigating after a man was discovered fatally shot on Sunday morning in Northwest Roanoke.
At around 1 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a victim laying on the ground in the 3300 block of Ferncliff Ave. NW, in the parking lot between Home Depot and Sportsman’s Warehouse.
The have located the victim at the scene, who was shortly after pronounced dead.
The Roanoke Police Department is asking anybody with information to get in touch with them.
