Police identified victim of Sunday’s shooting

Roanoke, Virginia – Police officers have identified the victim of Sunday’s shooting in Northwest Roanoke.

Roanoke police responded to a report of a man shot at the 700 block of Hunt Avenue NW around 3:45 a.m. When they arrived on scene, officers noticed a man with a serious gunshot wound inside of a car. The victim, 28 year old Cleveland Kilgore was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

No one is arrested yet due to this homicide and the investigation is ongoing.
