Over 3,000 customers in Roanoke, Lynchburg without power

Roanoke, Virginia – Over 3,000 Appalachian Power customers are without power as of Monday morning, Nov. 2.
The outages are affecting people in Roanoke and Lynchburg areas, according to the AEP outage map.
1,960 are without power in Roanoke and 1,278 are without power in Lynchburg.
Other areas are also experiencing outages:
- Bedford: 1,398 outages
- Amherst: 881 outages
- Botetourt: 612
AEP has not given an estimate of when these outages should be repaired.
