Roanoke, Virginia – The city was crowded for the Christmas parade on Friday, the second night of Delta Dental Dickens of a Christmas in downtown Roanoke.
Miliana Maloy, who goes to the parade each year, stated, “The food stands and the parade itself are just like my favorite thing.” Carly Juarez, who also goes to the parade each year, adding, “I like the memories I make with my family.”
According to Miyonna Miller, who also goes to the parade each year, she adores the lights.
Seeing the Christmas lights while strolling around Roanoke is my favorite feature of the city during the holiday season. “I simply adore Christmas,” Miller remarked.
Randall McClung and Regan Childs, who reside in Troutville, were going to the parade for the first time.
Childs remarked, “I think I’m looking forward to seeing candy and marching bands.” “We’ve participated in a few parades ourselves, so I’m eager to see how large the parade is in comparison to ours,” McClung continued.
McClung and Childs discussed what they liked best about the procession.
Childs remarked, “I like the hot chocolate.” “I always like to see what the different spins on music are,” McClung continued, “probably just the theme and the music.”
On Friday, the 20th, Delta Dental Dickens of a Christmas will come to an end with a snowball fight, a smores station, and a pet costume competition.
