Average gas prices in Roanoke rising again

Roanoke, Virginia – According to research published by GasBuddy from 155 different stations in Roanoke, the average price of a gallon of gas today is $4.33.

This is an increase of 12.9 cents a gallon over the course of the past week. Prices in Roanoke are now 47.9 cents more expensive per gallon than they were a month ago, and they are $1.45 more expensive per gallon than they were a year ago. The price of a gallon of diesel in the United States now stands at $5.518 after seeing a price increase of 22.6 cents over the last week.

According to reports provided by GasBuddy, the price of a gallon of gas in Roanoke ranged anywhere from $3.99 to $4.69 yesterday, with the most expensive station charging $4.69 per gallon. This represents a price gap of $0.70 per gallon. Yesterday, the state had prices ranging from $3.99 per gallon all the way up to $5.69 per gallon, with a difference of $1.70 per gallon between the lowest and highest prices.

The price of gas throughout the country has increased by 11 cents per gallon in the last week, and it now stands at an average of $4.57 per gallon today. According to data compiled by GasBuddy from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country, the national average has increased by 45.4 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands $1.55 per gallon higher than it did a year ago.
