Woman found dead in northwest Roanoke, police investigating cause of death
Roanoke, Virginia – A woman’s death in northwest Roanoke is being investigated by police as a homicide.
Roanoke Police was notified on August 9 about a female body in the 800 block of 8th Street. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the 60-year-old Joann Jones dead.
Officers believe Jones was killed due to the extent of her injuries, but the cause of death is yet to be identified.
