Victim killed in Lynchburg shooting identified, suspect arrested
Lynchburg, Virginia – A man was killed after a shooting on Sunday morning in Lynchburg.
Lynchburg Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired at the 1800-block of Park Avenue.
Upon arrival, they found a man shot in the chest. He died later at Lynchburg General Hospital.
The victim has been identified as Gary Douglas Braxton, 62, of Lynchburg.
A suspect, 36-year-old Alfonzo Spinner, has been arrested in connection to the incident and charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and second-degree murder.
