Two men hurt in Lynchburg shooting
ROANOKE, Va. – Two people were taken to a hospital after a shooting in Lynchburg Thursday night.
The incident happened near Fillmore Street between 16th and 17th streets. Officers with the Lynchburg Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Fillmore just after 9:30 p.m., finding a man with a serious gunshot wound. He was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital, and the department said he is in stable condition.
A second victim was dropped off at the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is also currently in stable condition.
Officers found a vehicle that had been shot during the incident.
