Roanoke police investigating Sunday morning’s shooting incident
Roanoke, Virginia – A shooting that occurred in the downtown area of Roanoke is now being investigated by the police.
Authorities said they received reports of a shot being fired at approximately 2:00 a.m. Sunday.
Officers from the Roanoke Police Department responded to the area of the gunshots and discovered evidence of a shooting in a parking garage located in the 30 block of Salem Avenue SW. According to the police, there were no casualties or suspects found at the location.
A short time later, they were informed about a man who had driven himself to the hospital. He sustained a gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening.
The investigation has shown that a fight took place in the parking garage before the shooting.
