Franklin County Sheriff’s Office investigating after body found in residential area

Franklin County, Virginia – Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office are looking into the death of a person who was found in a residential area.
It was a neighbor who contacted 911 after discovering the body in the 200 block of Crossbow Lane shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to Sgt. Megan Huston of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The cause of the death is still unknown at the moment, pending results of the medical examiner’s investigation.
