Franklin County collision claimed the life of a middle-aged woman
Franklin County, Virginia – According to the Virginia State Police, a collision that took place on Truman Hill Road on Tuesday morning resulted in the death of a middle-aged woman.
Virginia State Police said that the 49-year-old Hardy resident, Dana Walker Whitlow, was driving north on Truman Hill Road at Route 116 when she crossed the center line and collided with a 1994 Dodge 3500 truck that was pulling a trailer. The crash occurred around 8 a.m.
Authorities said Whitlow was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver remained uninjured.
There are currently no pending charges.
According to VSP, the investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
