Federal Emergency Management Agency opens disaster recovery center in Dublin
Dublin, Virginia – There are now four Disaster Recovery Centers operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Virginia.
The newest facility at the New River Valley Fairgrounds opened for business on Monday, October 14 at 8 a.m.
In addition to applying in person at one of the DRCs, individuals can also apply online, over the phone, or via the FEMA mobile app, according to FEMA.
FEMA’s Public Affairs Specialist is Kelly Magarity.
She said to WDBJ7 on Monday morning, “We really hope that everyone who is impacted comes in or applies online or over the phone.” “All we want to do is get people the assistance they require.”
The locations of Virginia’s additional Disaster Recovery Centers are in Tazewell, Independence, and Damascus.
More, according to FEMA officials, are on the way.
The application date for aid is December 2, 2024.
