City Invites Proposals to Acquire Lee Monument

Roanoke, Virginia – City Council has authorized the removal of the Lee Monument from Lee Plaza.
Any museum, historical society, military battlefield, or government may make proposals to acquire the Lee Monument.
All proposals should be in writing and sent to the City Manager at citymgr@roanokeva.gov or City Manager, Noel C. Taylor Municipal Building, 215 Church Ave. SW, Room 364, Roanoke, Virginia 24011.
All proposals must be received by 5 p.m., local time, on Sept. 18, 2020.
