State trooper injured after hit by firework during Saturday protest, police say
ROANOKE, Va. — Police confirmed Sunday afternoon a Virginia state trooper was injured during Saturday night’s protests in Roanoke.
According to the Roanoke Police Department, the trooper was struck by an illegal firework and sustained minor injuries. However, police say the trooper received treatment and is fine now.
