Average gas prices slightly decreased in Roanoke
Roanoke, Virginia – According to a survey conducted by GasBuddy at 155 different gas stations in Roanoke, the average price of a gallon of gasoline has decreased by 14.7 cents a gallon over the past week, and it is now $4.46 per gallon. Prices in Roanoke are now 16.6 cents more expensive per gallon than they were a month ago, and they are 1.63 cents more expensive per gallon than they were a year ago. A gallon of diesel now costs $5.80 in the United States after seeing a price increase of 2.6 cents over the previous week.
According to the price data provided by GasBuddy, the cheapest gas station in Roanoke was charging $4.21 per gallon, while the most expensive station was charging $4.69 per gallon, representing a price gap of 48 cents per gallon. Yesterday, the price throughout the state varied from $4.09 per gallon to $5.99 per gallon, with a difference of $1.90 per gallon between the lowest and highest prices.
The price of gasoline throughout the country has decreased by 8.8 cents per gallon over the last week, and it is now averaging $4.88 per gallon. According to data compiled by GasBuddy from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country, the national average has increased by 28.3 cents per gallon over the past month and stands $1.79 per gallon higher than it did a year ago.
