Person trapped in 20-foot trench rescued by crews
Roanoke, Virginia – A person trapped in a 20-foot trench was rescued by the Roanoke-Fire EMS crews on Thursday morning.
Crews were sent near Crystal Spring Park in the 2000 block of Jefferson St SE. to a report of a person trapped around 6:40 a.m. The person got out from the 20-foot trench after crews lowered a ladder.
The person was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for evaluation of their injuries.
No additional information was provided.
