Kids to learn about bike safety at “Pedal with Police” event
Danville, Virginia – Danville kids will have the opportunity to learn about bike safety from experts on Friday.
At the Danville Community Market “Pedal with Police” event will be hosted by the Danville Police Department and kids aged from eight to sixteen can take place. Bike Patrol of Danville Police Department will teach kids about bike safety, and they will also be able to participate in bike races and obstacle courses.
The event will start at 11 a.m. and anyone interested can register on-site.
Another condition for attendants is to bring their own bike at the event.
“A big issue we see here in Danville are kids riding their bikes down the middle of the street so we want to make sure they are staying safe while on their bikes, while having fun, but also keeping our drivers safe, “ community relations liaison for Danville Police Department, Ashtyn Foddrell said.
Call Ashtyn Foddrell at 434-797-8898 EXT 5 for more information.
