Woman and man located safely after a possible Franklin County abduction

Franklin County, Virginia – Police was looking for a 30-year-old man related to a possible abduction from the Boones Mill Subway on Monday afternoon.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the 30-year-old man, Kevin James Cole of Ruther Glen, was travelling armed up on 220N in a dark colored Dodge Dart with VA plates ULS1473.
Officials said that the victim Cassandra Joy Smith is in a relationship with the suspect and both of them frequent the Roanoke area.
Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is now informing the public that both Smith and Cole were located safely.
Authorities say they will continue to investigate the reported abduction.
At this time, no charges have been filled.
