US-220 reopened after crash that left one person injured

Roanoke, Virginia – An accident on US-220 near Roanoke on Monday night led to the closure of all southbound traffic lanes for many hours, but the road has since reopened and traffic is back to normal.
According to Roanoke Police, the crash occurred near the intersection of the I-581S ramp and the VA-24U ramp towards Elm Street, and drivers were advised to avoid the area.
One individual was hurt in the accident and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.
The scene has since been cleared and the road is now open to traffic.
