UPDATE: Tractor-trailer crash shuts down southbound Route 29 Business near Main Street in Lynchburg, detour established
UPDATE 3:00 p.m.: A detour has been set up around a tractor-trailer crash that has closed southbound Route 29 Business in Lynchburg, near the Main Street exit.
VDOT says southbound traffic is being routed onto Route 210 (Riverview Road) to Route 163 (South Amherst Highway / Fifth Street).
The crash has also shut down the left shoulder and left lane on the northbound side of Route 29 Business in the area of the incident, but traffic is slowly moving past.
Drivers can continue to anticipate significant delays in this area.
LYNCHBURG, Va. – A tractor-trailer crash has shut down all southbound lanes on Route 29 Business near the exit with Main Street (Exit 1).
According to VDOT, southbound traffic has been halted in the area and the northbound left shoulder and left lane are also closed.
Drivers should anticipate significant delays.
