Roanoke Airport places 2 executives on administrative leave
Roanoke, Virginia – The Roanoke- Blacksburg Regional Airport has placed two high-level employees on administrative leave.
Executive Director Timothy Bradshaw and Director of Planning and Engineering Richard Osburne are on administrative leave. The airport said the leave will be pending the completion of an internal investigation into a procedural event.
Vice President of Communications, Rachel Spencer, issued the following statement on the matter:
“The decision to place these individuals on leave was made to protect the integrity of this process and to enable an unbiased, thorough and efficient review of the facts. As an employee matter, the Commission will not comment further so as not to jeopardize the investigation and its progress.”
The airport’s commission said it has appointed the Director of Finance and Administration, David Jeavons, as the interim executive director. They do not expect this to impact day to day travel for customers.
