Man charged with DUI manslaughter after woman died in a crash
A 41 year old man from Salem has been arrested in connection with deadly crash in Roanoke.
On Thursday, Roanoke police responded to a call of a hit-and-run near the area of Orange Avenue and Gainsboro Road NW. A woman was found dead at the scene.
The driver of the suspect vehicle, James Brooks, was injured and transported to hospital after the crash. After released from hospital, he was immediately arrested.
Brooks has been charged with DUI manslaughter.
Victim’s identity has not been released yet.
