Local businesses get ready for Radford’s JD Vance rally
Radford, Virginia – Local establishments on Radford’s Main Street were bustling as crowds flocked to GOP vice presidential candidate JD Vance’s event on Monday night.
Local rally attendees strolling on foot or clients arriving via I-81 are just two examples of how well-prepared business owners believe they were for the audience that JD Vance brought in.
They claim that as soon as word leaked out that the rally would take place in Radford, supervisors called their staff members to let them know they would be busy beginning at midday.
Well-known eateries like Macado’s increased staff in anticipation of the task.
“Usually Mondays aren’t a very busy day, so having it happen especially after we put out our schedules made it a little choppy for us, but we were able to get about eight extra servers, an extra bartender on, and two extra people in the bar to help,” said Hayden Wade, the general manager of Macado’s.
Additionally, business owners stated that after the event, they anticipated even larger visitors.
