Investigation ongoing after man found dead in Roanoke

Roanoke, Virginia – A man was shot on Saturday night and died moments later, according to Roanoke Police Department.
A person with a gunshot wound in the 300 block of Harrison Avenue NW was reported to Roanoke Police at 11:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with apparent life-threating wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. Police said they will reveal the victim’s identity after notifying his relatives.
Investigation is ongoing.
