One shot and taken to hospital after Valley View Mall shooting
Roanoke, Virginia – Shooting incident occured at Valley View Mall in Roanoke. After a verbal altercation, one person was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound.
Roanoke Valley’s largest shopping complex was evacuated after this incident.
According to Roanoke police chief Sam Roman, they received a call at 6:37 p.m. that shots have been fired at the upper level of the mall. Upon arrival at Valley View mall, officers located an individual who had been struck by gunfire.
No one had been arrested at this time as a result of the incident.
