New daycare center to open next week in Moneta
Moneta, Virginia – Heavenly Hands Early Learning Center has confirmed that their daycare center in Downtown Moneta will open on October 18.
The business, which also has a location in Lynchburg, will provide daycare for children ranging in age from six weeks to twelve years old, as well as before- and after-school care.
The owner Laura Watlington said: “We are not your ordinary childcare facility. We offer a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math curriculum), teach sign language and have a physical fitness program that includes yoga, dance and sports.”
With a focus on nutrition and healthy eating habits, kids at the Heavenly Hands help grow herbs in the organic garden.
“We also teach small business principles. This summer, our children launched three businesses from scratch. They made their own candles, designed their own tumblers and created their own t-shirts. It was a huge success,” said Watlington.
1077 Town Circle Way in Moneta is the location of Heavenly Hands Early Learning Center Smith Mountain Lake. They will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 11-15 for individuals interested in applying.
