Fireworks display to take place on Saturday in Roanoke
Roanoke, Virginia – Fireworks show will start at 9 p.m. on July 3 in Roanoke.
In order to give the holiday off to emergency personnel and public safety, the fireworks display is set for the 3rd instead of 4th of July.
The pandemic got in the way of planning the event so Roanoke Parks and Recreation will not hold a centralized event this year and there will be no shuttle service to the fireworks, but the residents can still watch the fireworks go off at the Rivers Edge Sports Complex.
“The show is going to be 150 feet up in the air, so as long you’re looking towards Rivers Edge, you should be able to see the show, so you don’t have to be in the park to see it. You can see it from Towers [Plaza], you can see it from businesses in the Crystal Spring neighborhood,” said Stephanie Long, Marketing Coordinator for Roanoke Parks and Recreation.
