Saturday night shooting in Roanoke under investigation
Roanoke, Virginia – A woman was injured after a shooting on Saturday night in the 2600 block of Cove Road.
Officers were dispatched at the scene at 10:30 p.m. to a report of shots fired. The driver of a car, which was leaving the scene when officers arrived, was speaking with the officers. The woman told them that she has been shot and was trying to go to a hospital.
Roanoke Fire-EMS arrived at the scene and transported the woman for treatment of non-life threatening injuries to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Business in the area was damaged from the shooting. No one was arrested as no suspects were located at the scene and no other injuries were reported.
