Traffic delays on I-81 due to vehicle fire
Roanoke, Virginia – On Wednesday afternoon, a car fire caused delays on Interstate 81.
The car fire near mile marker 142, probably a mile south of the I-581 intersection, caused closure on both the southbound right lane and right shoulder.
Traffic backups are nearly 5.5 miles as of 2:45 p.m.
Traffic is back to normal now.
