3,771 new Covid-19 cases and 8 deaths reported in Virginia
Virginia – On Monday, Virginia reported 3,771 new Covid-19 cases and 8 additional deaths. There is now a total of 367,536 Covid-19 cases and 5,132 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. 306,617 of those cases are confirmed and 60,919 are probable.
Virginia’s positivity rate is 15.8%
Since the beginning of the pandemic 31,561 people have been discharged from the hospital, according to the Virginia Healthcare and Hospital Association.
Follow these effective behaviors to lower the risk of Covid-19 spread: wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer only if soap and water are not available, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when coughing or sneezing, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, stay home when you are sick, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, avoid contact with sick people, avoid non-essential travel.
